I've been feeling inspired lately to try some new things with the blog. Aside from making it more "designy," I'm pushing myself to create editorial-ish shoots that reflect what trends in the fashion/beauty worlds I'm loving and how they're directly affecting my "steez." I think I've too often felt, for one reason or another, that I have to present my content here in a specific, very coded way - particularly the outfit posts. I've been thinking too much inside the box and am realizing that there are a million and one ways to share what's on my mind, how it got there and, most importantly, why I love clothes and why I feel the need to blog about them. I figure, if I'm going to lug a suitcase full of clothes all around New York City, then I'm going to put on a wig in front of a police station and pout...and pose! 1. Ezra Miller in Paper Magazine. He's my ultimate beauty icon right now. Is that the most ridiculous sentence you've read on the internet today? Good. His recent shoot for Paper Magazine involved dresses and heels, plus beaucoup 'tude.
2. Jessica Stam at Prada. Proof that a bad black wig is so the hot accessory right now.
3. Mary-Kate Olsen. Always. Duh.
4. Margot Tenenbaum. Gwynnie's best role comes to mind whenever I put on my new faux fur. I want to be her. You want to be her. We all want to be Margot Tenenbaum. Just for a day.
5. This editorial in the latest Arena Homme+, featuring the high waist we saw at Lanvin, but not flared. So good. Plus, the issue has a feature on how wigs are so hot right now. See number two.
6. Ezra Miller again, but this time in an airport, wearing fur, looking off the chain. Good day, sir.
