IMAGINE ME & YOU

8.04.2011

And now for a silly post...seeing as one of my best friends is getting married this weekend I'm celebrating her special day with a post all about my special (imaginary) day.

First up: the future husband. Joseph Altuzarra is a French-Chinese American designer who probably loves me, but doesn't realize it. Yet.

When he proposes I’m going to make this face (I’m going to have to keep my bottom eyelashes like that for months just in case):

And hopefully the ring will be this unabashedly awesome...

I'll of course look this cute hand-typing my invitations. Except I won't be a woman. That's for my seventies! And then I'll pick from an analog music assortment (maybe some choice picks from my mother's record collection...)

This image from Domino has been my ideal wedding setting for like, three years. No joke. It's perfect!

Of course I'll have to wear something fantabulous for the ceremony...

Although I might replace the hat with one of the headpieces below. The one on the left is more traditional (ha!), but I do love Traina's Givenchy horns.

This photo captures the "energy" of our honeymoon destination, wherever that may be...preferably Cartagena...

And then of course we'll have an Asian baby! Because that's how gaybies works.

Now...after all that, I have to admit that ever since I found out Charlotte Gainsbourg isn’t married I’ve been questioning how much I really want it. Lord knows there’s nothing I put more faith in than the life choices of French style icons. Stay tuned next week for posts about said friend's actual wedding!

  1. I'm loving the mismatched chairs at your reception. That is something I would do. Your imagination is abundant :)
