When an email from Singapore landed in my inbox last week, I was expecting spam. Instead, I found a release touting Haystakt's new Makers' Journal. I had no idea what that was, but it looked Brooklyn-y, so I clicked through. Lo and behold—Haystakt is an incredible online shopping portal where one can, "discover locally made products for a global market." There's a really solid international mix of brands represented, but there's a big chunk from Singapore and Asia, which provides a unique opportunity to see a flourishing design community halfway around the world.
That being said, one of my favorite brands on the site is Germany's ATEM bags. Their lookbook, shot by Patrick Desbrosses, is just. so. good. And the bags—delicious!
Some of my other favorite brands on the site include Pana Objects, Heart Heart Heart and The Workshop Gallery. I could go on and on about how cool Haystakt is, but instead you should probably just get sucked into it yourself!
